Yanbian University of Science and Technology (YUST)
Introduction
YUST was founded in 1992 through the collaboration of the People’s Republic of China and numerous foreign volunteers. It is the first Chinese joint-venture university in the Yanbian Autonomous Prefecture and has grown to become one of the top universities in China. YUST establishes a firm commitment to educate according to the principles of creativity, cooperation, and volunteerism in accordance with the university’s motto of “truth, peace, love.” The university actively prepares its students to become leaders for the next generation of China and the world at large. As role models, YUST professors are devoted not only to their students’ academic development, but also to helping them become individuals of service to their community, country, and beyond.
